How to connect a LinkedIn company page

Company posting needs both your page access and LinkedIn’s approval of DentalMarketingMachine’s application. A free trial does not block connection.

Before you start

  • Sign in to the LinkedIn personal account that administers the company page—not a separate company login.
  • Make sure you can open the page’s admin view and publish posts. Super admins and Content admins can post in LinkedIn; DentalMarketingMachine’s current page picker discovers administrator pages. If your page is missing, ask a Super admin to check your access.
  • Allow pop-up windows for DentalMarketingMachine and finish every consent screen. Never give DentalMarketingMachine your LinkedIn password.

Follow these steps in order

  1. 1.

    Check your company page access

Open LinkedIn, select your company page under the pages you manage, and open its admin view. If you cannot manage it, ask the page’s Super admin to grant the appropriate access first.

  2. 2.

    Open Your websites in DentalMarketingMachine

Sign in to DentalMarketingMachine, open Websites, and find LinkedIn auto-posting near the top.

  3. 3.

    Choose company connection

Click Connect profile + company page. If your personal profile is already connected, click Add company page instead. A connected profile alone does not connect your company page.

  4. 4.

    Approve LinkedIn access

In the pop-up, sign in to the correct personal account, review the permissions and click Allow. Leave the window open until it returns to DentalMarketingMachine.

  5. 5.

Confirm your page and sharing choices

Wait for DentalMarketingMachine’s confirmation. Check the company page name, switch Post to company page on, and choose the intended destination for each website. Profile posting can be switched on or off separately.

  6. 6.

    Publish and check the result

Publish an approved article live to your connected website, then check Recent LinkedIn shares and your company page. Drafts are not shared. If sharing fails, the website article stays live.

Troubleshooting

“Bummer you aren’t connected” or consent fails

This message alone does not identify the cause. Allow pop-ups, check which LinkedIn account is signed in, and retry once. If it persists, contact DentalMarketingMachine with the exact message and whether profile connection works; company permissions or application approval may need attention.

Profile connected, company page missing

Your personal connection is separate. Check the page admin role and use Add company page. If access is still unavailable, DentalMarketingMachine must check its application permissions; buying a paid plan will not resolve that.

No share after publishing

Check account and website sharing switches, confirm the article is live rather than a draft, and read the recent share result. Renew access only when DentalMarketingMachine asks you to reconnect.

Still stuck? Contact DentalMarketingMachine with the network name, exact error and the step that failed. Never send passwords or secrets.

DentalMarketingMachine application owner checklist—not required of every member
  1. Open LinkedIn Developer Portal → the application → Products. Request the relevant Community Management API access and complete LinkedIn’s approval process. Product availability is not proof that access is granted.
  2. Under Auth, confirm the granted company permissions used by this integration: w_organization_social and r_organization_admin, plus openid, profile and w_member_social for the personal profile. Use LinkedIn’s approved equivalents if its program changes; code and consent must agree.
  3. Register this exact OAuth callback: https://connector-gateway.lovable.dev/api/v1/app-users/oauth2/callback. Verify the application’s company association when LinkedIn requests it.
  4. In Lovable workspace App User Connectors, check the LinkedIn client credentials, link the client to DentalMarketingMachine, and enable offline access. After permission changes, members must authorize company access again. Ordinary members do not create a developer application.
